What we believe
These aren't wall posters. These are the principles we use to make decisions every day.
ROI or it doesn't ship
Every feature must pay for itself. We measure impact in dollars recovered, not story points completed. If a feature doesn't move the needle for our customers' cash flow, we cut it.
Ship fast, learn faster
We deploy to production multiple times per day. We'd rather ship something imperfect and iterate based on real customer feedback than spend months polishing in isolation.
Empathy in collections
Our product handles sensitive business relationships. We obsess over getting the tone right because a poorly worded collection email can damage a relationship our customer spent years building.
Trust through transparency
We show our customers exactly what we're doing and why. The "Influenced Recoveries" metric is honest by design — we don't inflate numbers. Trust is the product.
Benefits & perks
We invest in our team because that's how you build a company people want to work at for years.
🌎
Remote-first
Work from anywhere. Team across 4 time zones. Async by default — we write things down instead of scheduling meetings.
🏖️
Unlimited PTO
Take the time you need. Minimum 3 weeks/year enforced. Leadership takes vacation publicly to normalize it.
🏥

Health, dental, and vision for you and dependents. $0 deductible option available. Mental health coverage included.
📈
Meaningful equity
0.25% – 1.5% equity depending on role and seniority. 4-year vest, 1-year cliff. Early exercise available.
📚
$2K learning budget
Courses, books, conferences, certifications — whatever makes you better. No approval needed, just expense it.
💻
Top-tier hardware
MacBook Pro M4, 4K display, standing desk stipend, noise-canceling headphones. Whatever you need to do great work.
✈️
Team retreats
Quarterly team off-sites. Past locations: Austin, Denver, Lisbon. 3 days of collaboration + 1 day of fun.
👶
Parental leave
16 weeks fully paid for all parents. Flexible ramp-back schedule. We want you present for the moments that matter.
Our interview process
Respectful, transparent, and fast. Typical timeline: 10 business days from application to offer.
Apply
Send your resume and a short note about why DuePilot interests you. We read every application — no AI screening.
Intro call
A 30-minute video call with the hiring manager. We'll share more about the role and learn about your background. No trick questions.
Work sample
A take-home exercise that mirrors real work you'd do in the role. Engineers build a small feature. Designers critique a screen. Marketers write a brief. Paid at $500.
Team interviews
Two 45-minute conversations with future teammates. One technical deep-dive, one culture fit. We're evaluating each other — ask us anything.
Offer
If it's a fit, we move fast. Expect an offer within 48 hours of the final interview. Transparent comp — we share the exact formula.
Open positions
4 open roles. All remote. All include equity. Paid take-home exercises.
Own full features from database schema to production UI. You'll build the systems that directly recover money for small businesses — every line of code has measurable financial impact.
A day in the life
You start the day reviewing a PR from a teammate who added SMS reminders. After lunch, you're debugging a Xero webhook that's not firing consistently — turns out their retry logic has a 30-second gap. By 3pm you've shipped a fix and are pairing with the designer on the new payment prediction UI. At 5pm you check the dashboard: $3,200 recovered today across your customers. That's the job.
What you'll do
Design and build new product features end-to-end (Supabase → Next.js → Cloudflare Workers)
Improve the AI collection sequence engine — prompt engineering, fallback chains, content safety
Build integrations with QuickBooks, Gmail, and Outlook APIs
Write tests, review code, and mentor junior engineers
Participate in on-call rotation (lightweight — product is async/batch, not real-time)
Ship to production multiple times per day with confidence
Requirements
5+ years of full-stack experience (backend-leaning preferred)
TypeScript and React/Next.js at production scale
PostgreSQL — you can write complex queries, design schemas, and optimize indexes
Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI)
Comfort with OAuth flows, webhooks, and third-party API integrations
Strong opinions, loosely held. You push back on bad ideas, including your own.
Nice to have:
•
Experience with Supabase, Cloudflare Workers, or edge computing
•
Background in fintech, billing, or accounts receivable
•
Contributions to open source
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 + 0.5% – 1.0% equity
Apply NowDesign the experience that makes accounts receivable feel effortless. You'll own the complete design process for a product that handles sensitive business relationships and real money.
A day in the life
Morning standup (15 min, async-first). You spend the morning refining the customer detail page based on feedback from a bookkeeper who manages 35 clients — she needs to see score breakdowns faster. After lunch, you're testing a new onboarding flow variant and reviewing analytics from PostHog. By 4pm you've shipped a Figma update and the engineer is already implementing it.
What you'll do
Own the design system (Material Design 3, warm amber + indigo theme)
Design new features from research through shipping — sequences, scoring, onboarding
Run monthly user research sessions with real SMB owners
Create high-fidelity Figma prototypes for engineering handoff
Design AI-generated email templates that feel human, not robotic
Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility across all screens
Requirements
Portfolio showing SaaS product design (dashboard-heavy products preferred)
Expert Figma skills — components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping
Experience with Material Design or similar token-based design systems
Ability to make data-dense UIs feel simple (our users check the dashboard for 30 seconds)
Comfortable talking to customers and translating feedback into design decisions
Nice to have:
•
Experience designing for fintech or accounting products
•
Motion design skills (Lottie, After Effects)
•
Can write basic React/CSS to prototype interactions
Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 + 0.4% – 0.8% equity
Apply NowBuild DuePilot's growth engine from scratch. Content, SEO, partnerships, and community — you'll own the entire funnel from awareness to activation.
A day in the life
You start the day reviewing which blog posts drove signups this week — the FDCPA compliance guide is outperforming everything. Mid-morning, you're on a call with a bookkeeping firm exploring a partnership (35 potential customers through one relationship). After lunch, you ship a new case study and update the landing page ROI calculator with real customer data.
What you'll do
Build and execute the content strategy (blog, case studies, SEO, LinkedIn)
Manage the QuickBooks App Store listing — our primary distribution channel
Develop accounting firm partnership program (referral + revenue share)
Run A/B tests on landing page, onboarding, and email sequences
Own marketing analytics: CAC, LTV, conversion rates, channel attribution
Build community presence in r/smallbusiness, accounting forums, and LinkedIn
Requirements
3+ years in growth/marketing at a B2B SaaS company (seed to Series A preferred)
Proven track record in content marketing and SEO
Experience with landing page optimization and conversion rate work
Data-driven — you think in funnels, cohorts, and payback periods
Strong writing skills — you can explain complex financial concepts simply
Nice to have:
•
Experience marketing to accountants, bookkeepers, or SMB owners
•
Familiarity with QuickBooks ecosystem and app marketplace
•
Previous experience at a fintech company
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 + 0.3% – 0.6% equity
Apply NowBe the first dedicated CS hire. You'll build the playbook from scratch — onboarding, health scoring, churn prevention, and expansion. Every customer interaction shapes the product.
A day in the life
Morning: review the health dashboard — two accounts dropped below their recovery target. You reach out proactively. Mid-day: onboarding call with a new electrical contractor who's never used SaaS before. You walk him through connecting QBO in 8 minutes and he's amazed. Afternoon: compile this week's feature requests into a prioritized list for the product team. The top request: "Can DuePilot also chase my Xero invoices?" (It's on the roadmap.)
What you'll do
Own the post-signup experience: onboarding calls, check-ins, QBRs for larger accounts
Build the CS playbook: health scoring, intervention triggers, renewal process
Identify at-risk accounts early and intervene before they churn
Gather product feedback systematically and advocate for customer needs internally
Create self-serve resources: help articles, video tutorials, email sequences
Hit net revenue retention targets (goal: >110%)
Requirements
3+ years in customer success at a B2B SaaS company
Experience building CS processes from scratch (not just inheriting a playbook)
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Comfortable with data — you use dashboards and cohort analysis to prioritize
Genuine empathy for small business owners and their cash flow challenges
Nice to have:
•
Experience with accounting software, bookkeeping, or AR workflows
•
Background in financial services or fintech
•
Familiarity with tools like Intercom, Vitally, or Gainsight
Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000 + 0.25% – 0.5% equity
